What happens during the course?
My Hypnosis for Social Confidence program gently takes you through a simple process of building your confidence in social situations. I use far more than just hypnosis however – I incorporate a unique blend of counselling, CBT, coaching and NLP, to help support and reinforce all the changes that you’re making.
We will identify the situations that cause you embarrassment and nervousness.
We’ll look into the potential triggers that cause you distress, and help you to see them from a more rational point of view.
Often, these triggers may have been with us since childhood, and it can be a simple matter of ‘updating’ the subconscious mind so that you can react from an adult perspective.
During therapy, you’ll learn and ‘practice’ new behavioural patterns for these type of situations; effectively teaching your mind new thought processes.
I will also gently encourage you to try out your new skills in real-life so that you can build confidence that prove to yourself that you can really do it.
What’s hypnosis like?
I will guide you into a trance-like state in which you may feel almost asleep, although you will still be able to hear my voice. During this time I will make suggestions to a deeper part of your mind so that you can make positive changes to your thinking patterns and behaviours during social situations.
People usually describe the actual hypnosis procedure as deeply relaxing, interesting, and enjoyable. I will ensure that you feel safe and in control at all times.
